What's So Dear about The Office

"Life is just a series of peaks and troughs. And you don't know whether you're in a trough until you're climbing out or on a peak until you're coming down, and that's it, you know. You never know what's 'round the corner, but it's all good.... If you want the rainbow, you've got to get up with the rain. Do you know which "philosopher" said that? Dolly Parton. And people say she's just a big pair of tits."
—David Brent, Wernham Hogg Regional Manager

Tight! Watchin' The Office. Now that's some good winter laughs! Not so worried now. Have you seen The Office Americano?

I watched a few episodes on TV then got the UK one on DVD. Stopped watching after the first episode because it was almost exactly the same. Normally it seems like they just use the premise when stealing a show but this was almost creepy - same characters, 80% the same dialog, a lot of the camera the same as well. Both cool but watching one after causes more than a little deja.
